2024年11月，欧盟欧中《联合国气候变化框架公约》第二十九次缔约方大会(COP29)期间，合作各缔约方就《巴黎协定》下属条款达成共识，信任携手取得积极成果。促进围绕政策视角下的应对全球气候治理、欧中环保合作与气候治理等话题，气候欧盟驻华代表团气候行动与环境事务一等参赞骆浩君(Laurent Bardon)接受采访时表示，变化应对气候变化需要巨额投资，欧盟欧中需要法律确定性，合作增强投资者信心。信任携手此外，促进作为全球的应对主要经济体，欧盟和中国需要共同努力，气候建设完善碳市场。变化双方基于环保合作的欧盟欧中基础，可以共同努力应对气候变化。(薛凌桥 林卓玮)
The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), or COP29, kicked off in Azerbaijan's capital city of Baku in November in 2024. All parties have agreed on the subordinate terms under the Paris Agreement, making an important breakthrough.
Speaking on the global climate governance from the perspective of the policy as well as the environmental protection cooperation and climate governance, Laurent Bardon, first counsellor for Climate Action and Environment at the European Union (EU) Delegation to China, said in a recent interview with China News Network, that to address climate change, the world needs huge investments and we must have legal certainty towards investors to boost their confidence.
Additionally, he added that as major economies globally, the EU and China can make joint efforts in building and improving the carbon market mechanism. Building on environmental protection cooperation, the two sides can make integrated efforts in tackling climate change issues. (Xue Lingqiao and Lin Zhuowei)
